Woke up to rain and it stopped as we were packing up. With the weather looking better, we decided to go to
Manteo. Have never been there and will take a new route home. Drive to Roanoke Island was uneventful, however we found the streets of
Manteo very narrow and for a time wondered if we would be able to park Escape
to. We ask a man working on the street if there was a place we could park and he told us the Festival Park had plenty of parking for our size vehicle. This was where we wanted to visit and it worked out just fine.
There is lots to see and do, but as our time was limited we walked along the water and visited the Museum Store and Art Gallery. We will return again and spend the whole day seeing the town and the remainder of Festival Park.
Now it is on to home and the next time we will be in Escape To, it will be off to Alaska!!
